On any one of these hikes through the Western North Carolina Mountains you’re sure to see some amazing views and overlooks of the mountains, as well as some great walks by our creeks.

Western North Carolina is the outdoor adventurer’s paradise, and Leatherwood Mountains offers easy access to some of the area’s most scenic hiking areas. The Appalachian Trail, voted the most popular outdoor destination by Blue Ridge Outdoors and also favorite long distance trail by Backpacker Magazine, has approximately 300 miles of trail in North Carolina, and there are many access points that are easily accessible from Leatherwood. In addition, other popular hiking areas can be found in the Boone and Blowing Rock area, such as Grandfather Mountain and the Blowing Rock.
